This collection will transform the way I teach Acts…
“I have been looking for this sort of extraordinary resource for years. I don’t know of any other photo resource for Acts currently on this level. This collection will transform the way I teach Acts in the classroom, and it’s useful for my own thinking as I work again through the text.”
—Craig S. Keener, F. M. and Ada Thompson Professor of Biblical Studies, Asbury Theological Seminary
This volume offers…an abundance of visual resources
“The Acts volume of the Photo Companion to the Bible offers instructors and students of the New Testament unique, illuminating windows on the historical, geographical, and cultural contexts in which the apostolic church lived, thrived, spread, and suffered throughout the Roman Empire after Christ poured out God’s Spirit at Pentecost. No tour of sites in Israel and throughout the Mediterranean world could come close to matching this abundance of visual resources, correlated throughout with the text of Acts. The Christian faith is firmly grounded in specific historical events, and the Photo Companion ‘transports’ students of Scripture back into the ancient locales in which those events occurred.”
—Dennis E. Johnson, Professor Emeritus of Practical Theology, Westminster Seminary California; Author, The Message of Acts in the History of Redemption and Let’s Study Acts
